Devil’s Isle All Breed Club (DIABC) is continuing the long standing tradition of hosting Bermuda’s International Dog Shows.
As a newly formed club with revitalized energy and new ideas, we look forward to getting to know our members. We strongly believe that this club must be inclusive, towards its members and our community. Without a strong, interested membership including young people, our success will be a struggle. We hope to take from the past and build on it to make a sound future for Dog Shows in Bermuda.
Our vision is to be an inclusive club that promotes the preservation of purebred dogs and good sportsmanship.
Below is a list of goals we intend to work towards in the very near future:
1. Regular meetings for members. We want to be a club that connects as a “Dog Show Family”.
2. Handling classes.
3. Fun Matches (practice shows).
4. Seminars relating to many facets of the Canine world such as (but not limited to): health talks from local veterinarians, handling seminars, judging seminars, “How dog shows work” and other topics relating to our canine world. Suggestions and volunteers are welcomed.
5. Hosting health clinics, handling clinics, and other similar events.
6. A Junior Showmanship program that teaches our young enthusiasts the responsibilities as well as the joys that are involved in raising and showing purebred dogs.
7. An education program to inform the public not only about purebred dogs and shows, but many different topics related to dogs such as proper care and importance of training etc.
We invite those interested in the ideals and goals listed above to join the club and help us make this the best Dog Show Giving Club the island has seen.
We look forward to this adventure!
